PARIS MAKES ‘EXTREMY GENEROUS’ DONATION FOR LA CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL
Paris Hilton is leaving her party-girl image behind by using her money for a good cause. The socialite made an “extremely generous" donation for the construction of a medical building at Children s Hospital Los Angeles, hospital officials said Thursday. A moved Paris claimed, "The children I have met through my involvement with Childrens Hospital have truly touched my heart." "I am proud to make a donation and lend my name to the fundraising effort to help children who are facing terribly serious illnesses," she added. The 460,000-square-foot Childrens Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases is scheduled to open in 2010. Paris decided to reconsider her wild ways after she spent 23 days in jails for alcohol charges. She told TV presenter Larry King that she wanted "to help raise money for kids and for breast cancer and multiple sclerosis."
