Paris Hilton was born on February 17, 1981 in New York City into the Hilton
family. The socialite as well as her three younger siblings are heir-apparent
to the huge Hilton hotel and real estate dynasty.
As a child she lived in deluxe residences in the most expensive neighborhoods
on both coasts. Her education record includes the super select
Dwight School, from which she dropped out and later obtained her high school
GED.
From an early age, posh parties and gossip press were familiar to Paris.
Her relationship with the media, began when she decided to reach a celebrity
status, may be following her mother’s steps. Kathy Richards had
a short acting career, especially on TV. Hilton started an extraordinary
and expensive campaign to put herself in the spotlight, including television
and music. This drive has implied several physical changes. To her naturally
agreeable looks, Hilton passed extensive esthetic plastic surgery, which
included dying her hair and tinted contact lenses in her effort to be
considered "hot".
It has been said that her continuos bickering with other celebrities
and even, her home video with then-boyfriend Rick Salomon all were part
of a campaign to keep Paris on the public eye. Her high profile increased
more with video Night in Paris (2004) (V).
Thanks to her notoriety, Paris made a foray as a model, appearing in
TV ad, series and movies, in the beginning with small parts in films such
as Zoolander (2001), Wonderland (2003), The Cat in the Hat (2003) and
guest-star appearances on TV shows such as "The O.C." (2003)
and "George Lopez" (2002). Then, her roles were bigger like
in movie House of Wax (2005), the direct-to-DVD Bottom's Up (2006) and
her own TV show, the fish-out-of-water reality series "The Simple
Life" (2003).
Regarding the music universe, Paris has released an album and also own
a music label “Heiress Records”.
Some people accuse her of being superficial, though Paris is very eclectic
with the many activities she performs. Her wide range of interests go
from designing, writing, nightclub management to marketing video games.
